Summer

Far above the waterways, the call of the great outdoors echoes against jagged mountainsides. The powerful exhilaration of rock climbing answers. Climbers conquer gullies and crevices of un forged territory, opening up a whole new breathtaking world.

Those who prefer to yield to the irresistible beckoning of the wilderness with the ground firmly underfoot can get back to nature at one of the many lake or riverside campgrounds. Classic mountain cabin retreats are also tucked away in secluded spots for romantic weekends, or group fishing trips.

In majestic contrast to the raw appeal of the undeveloped countryside is the luxury of two full facility golf courses. Choose between the Executive course par 3, or the 18 hole championship course. Both are located at the base of Hudson Bay Mountain and are as challenging as they are beautiful.
Autumn

Winter

Add access to the virgin powder of the upper peaks by heli-skiing and you've got the making of a skiers' dream. For the cross-country skier, Smithers offers endless miles of tranquil trails just waiting to be discovered.

Team sport enthusiasts need look only as far as the active Smithers hockey and curling circuit. The community has a zesty competitive appeal that has made it a popular facility for provincial class tournaments.
Spring

Babine Lake is highly recommended for spring fishing Mid-may to Mid-June marks a Rainbow Trout and Char season that will have you hooked.
